Where do I sell photos online? Are there local or specialised sites or travel sites that accept photos?
I love photograph like many others and have travelled extensively. Most of my photos are scenic or people shots from abroad. I have never done anything with my photos, not even photoshop them. I would like to think I could make a bit of cash from them, if possible. Can anybody tell me what the realities of this are, what sites they have had success with for photos alone and where you might submit photos and travel articles together and get paid to do so?
There’s tons of places to sell your photos online. A quick Google search for stock photos will reveal many of the typical sites that people will often sell too. Most of these sites tend to take a large part of the money that you make off of every photo. Try a smaller site like gonogging.com which is a free registration and lets you put up as many pictures as you like, only charging a small service fee for doing so. Good luck selling!

6 Reasons To Create Photo Books
There are lots of reasons to create photo books using your wonderful digital pictures. Photo books can be given as a customized holiday gift or used as a memory book for significant events — vacations, anniversaries, birthdays, etc. They’re not just for personal use, with many professionals now using them to display their accomplishments. The reasons for creating them are as varied as the moments and occasions you want to remember. Here are just six creative ways to make use of digital photo books.
1. Personalized holiday and birthday gifts. You can create photo books individually designed for each person on your gift list. You can select photos that have special meaning just for the two of you and show them you really care. Include some of your own recollections or comments about each photo to give your gift an even more thoughtful touch.
2. Weddings. Weddings are a natural fit for photo books. You can usually ask your wedding photographer for a copy of the digital image files so they can be uploaded to a digital photo printing site and used to create a wedding book for the couple. If you are an independent wedding photographer, you can use these sites to prepare photo books for your clients. These can give even a one-person operation a very professional look at a reasonable price.
3. Travel photos. Remember a great trip by sending your friends a photo book compiled of all the pictures you took along the way. This works even better if you work together to take your own pictures of each destination. You will end up with several very distinct viewpoints of the same areas.
4. Model or design portfolio. Professional architects, models, engineers, and other designers can create photo books showing their work. This is a convenient way to create a professional looking resume without having to invest in expensive publishing and printing equipment. Many sites offer business style templates you can use for your inner pages or cover. Using an online photo sharing site makes it easy to have an entire set printed and delivered to a prospective employer.
5. Recipe book. Use your digital camera to make a visual recipe book that shows each delicious meal. After writing up your recipe and ingredient list, take a picture of each dish for inclusion in your book. This is especially useful if you have kids because it makes it easy for them to choose their meals based on the picture.
6. Baby’s first year. Create a photo book to keep the memories from your baby’s first year of life. You can use all of the traditional baby themes such as listing their favorite foods or the date of their first steps. Include pictures from any significant moment in their development, along with your personal notes on the experience. Adding a family tree or older pictures of parents and grandparents can give the child some insight into their own personal history.
